School: It's a love hate relationship....

A college education has always been very important to my family. My Dad was the first one from his family to graduate with a Bachelors degree. It took him lots of blood, sweat, tears, and money. Oh and 16 years. Because of that his only wish was to see all of his children walk in their own college graduation. Being the youngest of three in my family I watched my sister take ten years to get through college. (well at least she made it, she was the first from my mothers side of the family to get a degree!) I also watched my brother drop out to join the Army. (Hey he has a great job now!) When I became a senior in high school I made a vow (wow that sounds weird)that I would graduate from college in four years; no more no less! So as soon as I graduated from high school I went straight into college. I knew exactly what I wanted to be, a teacher, and I knew how to get there. Since then I have kept my head down and plowed through three years of school. Right now I am a senior in high school, and if I play my cards right I will graduate in exactly four years. This last year and a half seems to be the hardest. I have so much work to do, and so littler time or motivation to do it. This past year and a half I have had three oral surgeries, and have been diagnosed with a chronic illness. I honestly don't know how I have done school, and gone through all of the surgeries. Well actually I do, God got me through it. I truly believe that everything happens for a reason, this includes bad things. God has a plan for everything and everybody, and he never gives us more than we can handle. So I guess that is my answer. How am I going to handle all of this work and not feeling good? I will handle it through God's help. I can handle it, because he never gives me more than I can handle. I know that God has taken my hand and dragged me through some of the hardest and darkest times of my life. So I know that I will make it through school, and I will be better for it. You know what the funny thing is? I have been typing this blog during my online class! Oh I really should pay attention. Thanks all for now! Bye Kittens!- anne marie
